Question Time Stamps for Quick Reference: 0:00 - Intro 1. 0:59 {Rapture Craze?} Can you address “Brother Joshua” and the current rapture craze? 2. 36:29 {PSA + Crucified WITH Christ?} How does the doctrine of Penal Substitutionary Atonement harmonize with us being “crucified with Christ” (Galatians 2: 20, Romans 6:5-6)? The substitution element seems to be missing, and wrath seems confusing if we are to affirm crucifixion with Christ. 3. 40:57 {Pre-Wired to Sin?} Why are Adam and Eve guilty when the brains God gave them are what guided them to make their decision to sin? They processed the situation based on the way God had pre-wired them. 4. 44:15 {Eschatology in The Psalms?} Is it valid to interpret Psalms 42-49 as talking about the End Times (Tribulation in 42-44, Lamb’s wedding in 45, God’s reign/judgment and New Jerusalem with a river in 46-49)? 5. 50:00 {Obedience Leading to Hardship?} My walk with Christ feels harder the more I obey. I lost family, friends, and even my girlfriend. Sometimes I wonder if this is even worth it, yet I still long to stay faithful. Any advice? 6. 55:42 {Baptismal Regeneration: False Gospel?} Would you consider the teaching that baptism is necessary for salvation to be a "different gospel” (Galatians 1:6)? If not, how would you distinguish it from the Circumcision Party's false teachings? 7. 1:00:31 {Malachi 4: About Jesus?} Is Malachi 4:2 talking about Jesus? Some translations like NKJV vs. NASB seem to reference it differently. 8. 1:05:30 {Loving God Above Family} My husband is an unbeliever. He recently told me he can't be a believer because he idolizes me and our kids and couldn't love God more than us. Beyond praying, how can I address this biblically? 9. 1:09:14 {Church Membership but Rarely Attending?} I’m a youth pastor at my church, and several families at my church consider themselves members but are only present a few times per year due to weekend activities. Should we address this strongly? 10. 1:14:43 {Trusting God More in Prayer} I fully believe God never fails and His decisions are always right and good. But it's still hard not to feel like He's "let me down" when I pray SO hard for something and it doesn't happen. It feels like He's absent and it (ashamedly) makes me question the parts in Scripture where He invites us to ask and SAYS He'll act. Bonus! 1:21:38 {Mike’s Favorite Christian Music} What are some of your favorite or best recommended Christian music artists and albums? Why is there a Rapture craze going on right now? I think it traces back to this mystery man, "Brother Joshua." He appeared out of nowhere about 3 months ago and said God took him to heaven multiple times and Jesus told him the date of the Rapture. I do this live stream most Fridays at 1 p.m. Pacific Time. You're welcome to join. To ask a question, you'll need to follow these instructions: 1. Don't post your question before you see me live on camera. 2. Post questions as comments in the LIVE chat at the beginning of the stream. 3. Post your question with "Q" at the beginning so we can easily identify that you are sending it in as a question for me and not just a comment in the chat. 4. Try to be as clear as possible so I won't misunderstand the question. Keep in mind that I don't know anything about your question other than what you type in that short comment. 5. Include specific verse references when possible or applicable. 6. Only one question submitted per subscriber, per stream, please. Submitting the same question into the chat a few times is OK. 7. Please understand that we don't strictly take the first 10 questions submitted. Our team takes several factors into consideration. 8. You can also check the "Clip Search" on BibleThinker.org in advance to see if your topic of interest has already been covered in a past session. I try not to answer the same questions over and over, so you may find what you need there
